We're in France!!!

Here's Bev and Mutzie over the Atlantic.

Tanya yakking on the phone in the DC airport.

At CDG, when we landed, was pretty disorienting. The terminal is circular and minimalist Bauhaus and almost empty of any amenities. We did find an ATM so we had enough euros for a while.

Our driver was waiting though and we were wisked away to our little hotel

It is so cute, Roulais du Louvre.$$$ but comfy and so close to the Louvre. Next door is a Church. As we walked over to the Louvre, a block away, we hear organ music,

Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (think Boris Karloff). We went inside and saw the beautiful Stained Glass windows. Then on to the Louvre. We saw a great exhibit of Russian icons and, of course, Mona Lisa with about 100 people crowded around.

Here is Tanya in front of one wing of the Louvre. The place is immense. W couldn't take pictures of the paintings but got some of the sculpture. We stayed up straight through to night here, to get oriented.

This picture is for Dwight. Creme Brulee off the shelf. We went to a little market around the corner. All the essentials - dessert and wine.

  4. How wonderful that you're doing this blog! I've been thinking of you both SO MUCH, and imagining you saying to each other "We're in FRANCE! Can you believe it?!!" and then a moment later, "We're in France!" and on and on... You've both been so much in my heart! I brought you with my to the teachings with HH The Dalai Lama, and Tanya: I saw your teacher, sitting up on the stage!!
